gravity induction drive

The gravity induction drive is an ancient fraal invention that is now the primary form of space propulsion as well as one of the integral components of a stardrive. The induction drive creates an artificial gravity field around a starship, so that rather than having to expend thrust to create a newtonian reaction to move a ship, the ship simply begins “falling” towards the source of the artificial gravity field. current induction field technology allows modulation of the induction fields to an incredible degree, and generates a field mere inches from the surface of a ship, allowing great mobility and preventing interference with other vessels even in close formation, though normal newtonian thrusters are used for docking

When operated within stated limits the induction engine will not cause gravitational effects within the ships hull however, if operated beyond safe limits, there will occasionally be areas towards the outside of a ships hull where the internal artifical gravity and external induction drive field will cause strange anomalies.
